7 steps to guide creative organisations to be more inclusive to young, diverse talent.

Through focus groups, third party research and collecting findings from A New Direction's 'Building the Creative Workforce of the Future', London Legacy Development Corporation and Create Jobs have created these 7 Steps towards Inclusion.

In it we’ve broken down 7 challenges we found organisations and young people are faced with when looking at hiring and careers, and for each we’ve worked with our partners and participants to identify solutions to those challenges.

These cover everything from low wages to application processes, the lack of role models for young people in senior positions to systematic culture change. These are very much steps towards inclusion, rather than 7 simple ways to tick boxes and say your organisation is now inclusive. Tackling the lack of diversity in the creative sector is not a simple 7 steps.
