A 14 week part-time, evening training course that prepares trainees for roles as Digital Creatives or Front End Web Developers.

Participants will access:

  • Industry led training in front end web development or creative digital, preparing for entry-level jobs, apprenticeships and paid internships

  • Portfolio development opportunities through practical tasks, live briefs, team working, industry mentoring and work experience where appropriate

  • Access to employers with 1-1 support into employment.

We believe we are creating a unique training opportunity that blends the technical with the creative creating an outcome of learning within participants enabling them to be ready for entry level employment opportunities – paid placements, paid internships or apprenticeships (also paid and at a London Living Wage).

Who’s it for?

  • 18-24 year old Londoners with an interest in Front End Web Development or Digital Creative roles.

  • We particularly welcome individuals who are underrepresented in industry including women, people from black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds, people living with disabilities and people from low socio-economic backgrounds.

N.B. This is a selective programme, participants must be driven and show interest in this area as a potential future career.

We have now recruited a cohort of 20 talented, young and diverse Londoners who have been led through an induction from both D&AD and General Assembly and are currently learning the basics of HTML and CSS, before taking part in their first Lab which will bring their skills together to work on a brief.

Later in the course they will attend sessions at D&AD looking at insights, human tech & UX, and presentation skills, before coming together in the final week to work on a final project to add to their portfolio.
