Office and Marketing Assistant

The APA are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Office and Marketing Assistant to join our small team in vibrant Soho.

We are a representative body within advertising, with production, VFX, sound design, animation and editing companies as members. These are companies that produce everything within the commercials and music videos world.

This position is ideal for someone interested in getting into the world of commercial production or gaining more experience in a marketing-based role within a creative industry.

We’re looking for someone who is resourceful, has great organisational skills, administrative skills and a fantastic eye for detail – no spelling or grammar mistakes should get past you! An eye for design and an understanding of the rules of social media is a big bonus.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone to progress their knowledge and build connections in an exciting and fast-paced corner of the advertising industry.

For the moment the role will be working in our Soho office Mon-Tues and then working remotely on Weds

We are a busy company with lots of events and initiatives going on, so your day to day workload will be varied but your responsibilities will include:

  • ensuring smooth running of the office
  • answering the phone
  • ensuring an excellent choice of office snacks
  • welcoming guests to the office
  • setting up spaces for meetings
  • assisting with admin tasks
  • answering basic member queries
  • being the “go-to” person for any support from any members of the team
  • supporting the Head of Communications across marketing output

We are a small but close-knit team who help manage each other's workload, so the ability to juggle multiple tasks and be proactive in offering help is important.

You must be aged 16-24 years old, and unemployed and claiming Universal Credit.

Experience in advertising/production industry or in an office based role is welcome but not necessary.

You will be trained on the job by our Head Of Communications, however a good knowledge of social media platforms would be advantageous and excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills are essential.

We are looking for a positive and self-motivated team player who is willing to jump in and take the reigns of this busy and varied role.

This programme is being delivered as part of the government’s Kickstart Scheme.

To be eligible to apply you must be aged 18 – 24 and claiming universal credit.
