Founded 1980, Emergency Exit Arts (EEA) began as an artists’ collective born out of a desire to radically transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.

At a time of social and political change we aspired to make a positive difference to people’s lives, particularly those who were discriminated against and those living in economically excluded communities across London and the UK.

Now a registered charity and one of the Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations, EEA has evolved into the reputable outdoor arts company it is today, still pioneering and still inspiring change through creativity.

EEA are clear about what it is we want to achieve and how we are going to achieve it. Our vision is to inspire change through creativity. We will do this by:

Enhancing places by making dynamic and surprising work in the public realm

Enabling people to be creative and confident

Astonishing audiences with moments of wonder

The main duty of the Marketing & Events Assistant is to support the Programme Development Officer in implementing of marketing strategies. The successful applicant will also occasionally support the onsite delivery of EEA’s events by performing audience surveys, taking photos and posting things to EEA’s social media.

The role also calls for someone who is able to become proficient in the use of EEA’s administrative systems and support the office Administrator, especially with EEA’s Impact Framework. This means exploring audience, participant and client involvement in an event, data for which is gathered throughout the planning, production & post-production phase of events.

A creative voice, keen eye for design and organised scheduling will be essential skills for utilising EEA’s various social media accounts.

There will also be times when the Marketing & Events assistant will need to carry out any other duties that may be reasonably requested by the Programme Development Officer and Administrator
