Creative Studio Assistant

Outset Studio is a 24-hour content creation studio for podcasters and photographers.

The successful candidate will be a valued member of outset studio and are expected to pro-actively draw on their own experience, demonstrating the ability to think laterally and innovatively to enable and deliver great customer service.

The job is ideal for anyone looking to start a career within the creative industry. Photography, Videography or Sound Engineering experience/skill set is desirable as we have a lot of contract work.

We are looking for a creative studio assistant to manage bookings and provide customers with support if needed.

Key tasks:

  • Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
  • Organise travel arrangements for senior managers
  • Write letters and emails on behalf of other office staff
  • Book conference calls, rooms, taxis, couriers, hotels etc.
  • Cover the reception desk when required
  • Maintain computer and manual filing systems
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Set up Studio Depending on customer requirements.
  • Assist as videographer or sound engineer, operating DSLR cameras and audio recording devices

You must be aged 16-24 years old, and unemployed
and claiming Universal Credit.

The role also asks that you have:

  • Proven administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Social Media Savvy – Knowledge of upcoming artists

This programme is being delivered as part of the government’s Kickstart Scheme.

To be eligible to apply you must be aged 18 – 24
and claiming universal credit.
