Digital Marketing Assistant

White Weft are a product design studio who work with recycled textile waste. We are dedicated to defining and shaping a fashion industry that is more fair, less polluting and beneficial to garment workers. To help progress our business from start up phase and widen our audience, we are looking to hire a marketing assistant. Activities will be mainly through digital channels with some face to face events.

We are looking for a social media enthusiast who is excited about opportunities to connect with people, tell stories and create a useful and meaningful digital experience.

Marketing

  • Together with the director plan a digital marketing calendar
  • Contribute content ideas and create content in form of social media posts and other visual assets
  • Manage the brand Instagram, Facebook and Linkedin accounts with input from the director
  • Manage facebook and Instagram advertising
  • Improve our SEO
  • Manage our Google analytics and report to the director
  • Continuously research the market and report on marketing opportunities.

Sales

  • Assist with seasonal markets (occasional weekend work)
  • Maintain the online sales by updating photos and descriptions, adding new products and managing stock levels
  • Packing and posting orders
  • Errands – for example shopping for studio supplies or drop-offs /pick-ups from production partners.

You must be aged 16-24 years old, and unemployed and claiming Universal Credit.

  • Proven interest and evidence of own research into sustainable fashion and circular design.
  • Good organisation and project management skills
  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe suite and google analytics
  • Demonstrated experience of creating and planning digital content for social media.
  • High standard of visual and graphic presentation
  • Ability to write engaging captions.
  • Strong photography and picture editing skills
  • Experience or willingness to master creating and editing simple videos.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to master website maintenance using Square space or Shopify

This programme is being delivered as part of the government’s Kickstart Scheme.

To be eligible to apply you must be aged 18 – 24 and claiming universal credit.
