Employment Sessions

From workshops to one-to-one sessions, every week you can get support from a member of the team to help you with your creative career

We know that people are struggling to find work and access support available during lockdown. That's why we've created surgeries and workshops to help you get the support you need.

We're taking a break from running our employment surgeries to take stock and improve the service. We won't be long but subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to know when they're back up and running.

We've teamed up with Creative Society to support more young people aged 18-30 with their creative careers by hosting one-to-one employment surgeries every Thursday.

Book your 30 min slot to be paired up with a member of the team who will help you with:

  • Job hunting and careers search
  • Applications and interviews
  • Advice for employees, furloughed staff and the self-employed
  • Guidance to other services out there to support your health and wellbeing

30 mins employment surgeries are available each Thursday. Book your slot by emailing createjobs@anewdirection.org.uk with:

  • your name
  • contact phone number
  • What you need support with
  • Your latest CV and cover letter
  • Your availability on a Thursday

And someone from our team will get in touch with you with a slot.

Why this is important

We spoke to over 100 young creatives to find out how they were coping, creating and working during lockdown and they told us they needed support like this.

Find out what else they told us and how we'll be helping more young people by reading the results from the survey
