|This newly created role will offer a broad introduction to the key areas which form the basis of creating and presenting world class orchestral and choral music. You will gain your experience by working with teams across a range of areas including Live Events, Marketing, Press, Business and Publications. This role is based in the Learning and Community Engagement team for BBC Proms and London Orchestras and Choirs.|
You will be embedded within the Learning and Community Engagement team who deliver large-scale projects to develop our audiences, partner and community engagement. You will also have the opportunity to develop your confidence and experience in communication, administration, organisation, problem solving, learning new systems and team work. You will be working within a broadcast, live events and creative environment.
Part of your work will include working on projects which will be building our relationships with the East London community in preparation for the opening of the BBC Music Studios as part of the East Bank development.

These world class ensembles perform a wide range of music which showcase the unique and thrilling sound of orchestras and choirs. Our musicians also take part in our wide reaching schools and community engagements projects including BBC Ten Pieces.
The BBC Proms is the largest classical music festival in the world offering eight weeks of world-class music-making from a vast array of leading orchestras, conductors and soloists from the UK and around the world. It aims to bring the best of classical music to the widest possible audience and is much loved for its informal atmosphere by both audiences and artists. Every concert is broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, many are televised and there is a strong online offering. "
The ideal candidate will have an interest in developing a career in the arts and live events:

- Have good organisational and IT skills; familiarity with appropriate office applications – Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint as well as an understanding of and demonstrable interest in social media
