We’re looking to fill two new roles that will assist the team in production and marketing.

We don’t have a particular person in mind for these positions, we just want new energy, ideas and someone who is willing to learn some new skills.

Full training will be given.

Bird Lime Media was set up in 2018 to create videos and podcasts for broadcasters, charities and brands. Our ethos from day has been to create relevant content for clients and have teams that fully represent the audiences we serve.

We have a strong mix of talent on our shoots, recordings and post production teams - veterans of the media industry and fresh new talent to keeps these veterans on their toes.

Some of our clients include ITV, Coca Cola, Amazon, McLaren F1, Visa, Save the Children, Kew Gardens, Women’s Prize for Fiction, Penguin Books, British Podcast Awards, Lumos, Shout - Mental Health Charity.

During your placement you’ll get to:

  • Help with planning social media campaigns for different clients and productions
  • Learn to make creative social media content using different forms of media (video / graphic / digital) for platforms including Instagram and Twitter
  • Learn to script killer copy to draw in new audiences
  • Help promote Bird Lime to the wider media industry and potential new trainees via our newsletter and the promotion of the Birdlime Academy

You must be aged 16-24 years old, and unemployed and claiming Universal Credit.

No formal qualifications or degree are essential for this position. We are looking for someone with:

  • A passion for social media content / video and podcast content with a purpose
  • An eagerness to learn and a can-do attitude
  • An entrepreneurial spirit - we like to be surprised with new ideas and ways of working and will encourage you to share them
  • Technical skills or an ability to pick up technical stuff fairly easily
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Google Drive
  • Experience with Canva / or Adobe Suite a bonus but not essential as training will be given

This programme is being delivered as part of the government’s Kickstart Scheme.

To be eligible to apply you must be aged 18 – 24 and claiming universal credit.
