The Junior Designer and Product Developer will work closely with the Design Director and team on the
creative process and development of womenswear and menswear designs. The candidate needs to be strongly motivated and driven with a great attention to detail. They should understand and be eager to face the challenges of a start-up fashion brand.

Blonde gone rogue started in 2017 with the belief that there is more to fashion that meets the eye.

Boy, were we right! We created an ethical and transparent supply to prove that, of course, it is possible to treat employees fairly and pay living wages. We found the most sustainable way to create our clothes from upcycled materials and stuck with it. We have focused on talking to our customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions that meet these needs.

That’s why today we put at the heart of everything we do offering high-quality, long-lasting, outstanding sustainable designs – so that our customers can feel confident, beautiful and get these wonderful outfit compliments that everyone deserves.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Research seasonal fashion and colour trends and prepare inspiration boards
  • Actively participate in building the collections by proposing ideas based on the collection’s theme and blonde gone rogue’s identity
  • Sketch designs, details and trims in correct proportion/real size using Adobe Illustrator
  • Experiment with bold colour combinations and create colour cads for designs using Illustrator
  • Create and assist the Design Director with the development of tech packs for factory hand-in
  • Be on top of all communication with production and sourcing partners’
  • Create seasonal overviews and keep them updated throughout development
  • Assist the Design Director with fabric, trims and hardware sourcing
  • Organize samples and actively participate in sample reviews, taking notes of all final comments
  • Update tech packs and overviews after sample reviews
  • Work closely with the marketing team when organizing photoshoots and prepare the styling sheets
  • Assist during photoshoots

You must be aged 16-24 years old, and unemployed and claiming Universal Credit.

Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Deep understanding of garment construction, fabrics and colours

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be able to build all tech packs and specs in organized, clear and professional manner according to template
