Get the real talk from four creatives from across photography, film, radio and digital product design on their journeys and careers till now
Ahead of the deadline for our four Creativity Works courses; Content Production, Digital Product Design, Photography and Podcasting, we're hearing from some speakers from the programmes. They'll be sharing their experiences and valuable insight into their respective industries and how they carved out a name for themselves in the creative sector.
The speakers
Antonia Odunlami is a DJ, presenter (Diaspora Distins on Worldwide FM) and radio producer. She produces Africa Now Radio on Apple Music (formerly shows across BBC Radio 1Xtra & Asian Network); she is a founding member & former music editor of gal-dem. Her work has a directed focus on connecting the dots between the motherland and the African diaspora across the world.
Chanse Campbell has worked as a designer and developer across companies in Leeds, Manchester and London, after coming into the digital design and technology industry unconventionally through an accidental public speaking job.
Cian Oba-Smith (b.1992) is an Irish Nigerian photographer who was born and raised in London. His work focuses on communities and subcultures around the world with a particular interest in approaching subjects that are often misrepresented and presenting them in a different light. The relationship between human experience and environment is at the core of his projects. His photographs can be found in a variety of places online and in print including FT Weekend Magazine, Crack Magazine, The Fader, Port, Dazed & Confused, The New Yorker and others.

Nosa Eke is a platform agnostic writer/director. After writing a digital narrative for mobile, Nosa was featured in the Apple app store in April 2018 as one of “Britain’s Next Level Gaming Talent”. In the same year she was picked for the BFI Flare/BAFTA mentorship programme and wrote an episodic narrative on the Amazon Alexa for the BBC. Nosa shadowed director Destiny Ekaragha on Season 2 of End Of The F***ing World and was also chosen as a 2019 Trailblazer by Accenture and TCOLondon for her work in the cross-section between technology and storytelling. Her debut AR feature film is in development with the BFI. Nosa's short film, Something In The Closet was selected for the BFI Flare Festival 2020 and the BFI London Film Festival 2019 where she was also chosen to be part of the Network@LFF programme. She is a Film London Lodestar 2020 and is in development on a TV series with Dark Pictures and an interactive film with Untold Studios.
The event will be chaired by Bianca A. Manu, a Ghanaian British curator, producer and writer invested in Art and photography. Her experience ranges from consultation, curation and production for Wellcome Collection, Houses of Parliament, British Council, Netherlands Embassy (Ghana) and Sheffield International Documentary Festival. Previously curator of Nubuke Foundation, an Arts Foundation in Accra, she has recently launched Manu.vre, a private art consultancy and dealership and joins art journal, Something We Africans Got as strategic and creative director. Bianca is a Create Jobs’ Alumna.
